GIMP – The Free Alternative to Photoshop

  GIMP is a platform and tool that is used by graphic designers, photographers, and illustrators. Through many revisions in the website, it was improved into a simpler interface. Wilber, the mascot and GIMP, was designed by Tuomas Kuosmanen, also known as tigert, in GIMP on September 25, 1997. The Wilber Construction Kit, located in the GIMP source code as /docs/Wilber Construction Kit.xcf.gz, contains additional accessories that Wilber got from other GIMP contributors.
